Metrognomes Fund Raiser

by | Sep 20, 2010

On Saturday the 18th Sept our fellow ‘Friends’ – The Metrognomes – kindly gave of their time and talent at the Thomas Tripp Pub  in Lymington to raise money for the work of Ray of Hope.  The band played their bluesy style to an enthusiastic crowd who generously gave of their hard earned dosh.  At the end of the evening, just when we thought that we had raised all we would raise, a rather large gentleman called Tim, who by his own admission had enjoyed some refreshment during the evening, took hold of the collection bucket and took it on a circuit of the whole building and surrounding environs – he was very persuasive!

With the band donating their fee for the evening, together with what was collected, a total of £545 was raised!!

As always, every penny given will go to the project to educate and feed the children and to assist their families.

On behalf of Ray of Hope we send our thanks to the band (and to Tim), as well as to the licensee and staff of the Tripp, for a very successful evening.
